Slime using Borax
- Borax – 2 tsp
- Water – 3 cup (2 cups for the borax solution and 1 cup for glue solution)
- Glue ( Clear glue will give you translucent slime) – 1 cup
Take two containers. In the first one mix borax and water and in the second mix of glue and water. Pour borax and water solution into glue solution. Mix the mixture well, the slime will begin to come together almost immediately. Once it has come together, take it out and knead with your hands until desired consistency is reached
Slime using Milk
- Skimmed Milk – 14 tbsp
- Vinegar – 2 tbsp
- Baking Soda – ½ tsp
Add the skimmed milk and vinegar in a cup and gently stir till solid are formed. Pour the mixture through a fine filter, preferably a coffee filter and let the solids drain for a bit. Add the baking soda to the solids and knead it well and you have your slime.
Slime using Cornstarch (Volcano Slime)
This slime is called volcano slime because of the use of heat in making it, the heat will melt the solution much like lava.
White School Glue – ¼ Cup
Cornstarch – ½ Cup
Add the glue and cornstarch in a microwave-safe bowl and gently stir, you can add food colouring at this stage. Mix it well. Knead the mixture using your hands for about 10 mins and pop the mixture in a microwave for 20 seconds. Let the mixture cool down and then knead the mixture for 10 minutes.
Edible Slime (Using Marshmallow)
Marshmallow – 6 ( Jumbo Size)
Cooking Oil – 1 tbsp ( preferably flavourless)
Cornstarch – ½ – 1 tbsp
Add marshmallow in a microwave-safe bowl and pour the cooking oil over it. Microwave on high for 30 seconds ( for a 1200 watt microwave oven). Adjust the temperature according to your oven. Carefully take the mixture out and add the cornstarch and mix it well, you can add more cornstarch to make the slime thicker. Let the mixture cool down and then knead the mixture.
Slime using Glue and Liquid Starch
- PVA Clear Glue or White glue – ½ Cup
- Liquid Starch – ¼ to ½ Cup
- Water – ½ Cup
- Food Coloring (optional)
Mix the glue and water thoroughly in a cup. Next, you can add any food colouring of your choice and glitter or any other add-ons you would like. Pour in ¼ cup of the liquid starch, each brand is different, so you might have to adjust the quantity but start with ¼ cup and slowly add more and stir thoroughly until a blob of slime is formed. Next start kneading the mixture till its gooey and slimy
Slime using Shaving Cream
- Glue – 1 cup
- Shaving cream (not gel) – 3 cups
- Contact Solution – 6 tbsp
- Food colouring (optional)
Pour the glue into a bowl, add food colouring little by little till you achieve your desired colour. Next, add the shaving cream and mix it well. Add contact solution, 1 tbsp at a time and mix it well. After 5 tbsp, add a lesser and lesser amount of contact solution until you get the slimy consistency.
Slime using Lens Solution
- School glue – 1 cup
- Water – ¼ – ½ cup water
- Baking Soda – ½ tsp
- Contact Solution – 3 tbsp
Pour the glue into a bowl. Add water and baking soda and mix thoroughly. Next, you can add food colouring and other add- ons of your choice. Go ahead and pour the contact solution and mix it, immediately the mixture will ball up. Knead the slime thoroughly till its dry, if it’s still sticky, add a little more contact solution.
Slime using Shampoo
- Shampoo – ½ cup
- Cornstarch – ¼ cup
- Water – 6 tbsp
Pour shampoo into a cup and then add the cornstarch to it. Getting a thick shampoo helps. Mix the mixture well and then you can mix in the add-ons you would like. Add water, one tbsp at a time and slowly stir the mixture after every addition. Take the mixture out from the cup and knead it thoroughly for about 5 mins. If, even after kneading the mixture is sticky, add more cornstarch, a little bit at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Slime using Salt and Toothpaste
- Shampoo – 1 cup
- Toothpaste – 1/ 3 cup
- Salt – a pinch
Pour the shampoo and toothpaste in a bowl and mix them well. Add a pinch of table salt and mix well. If the mixture is too dry add some shampoo and if too sticky then add some toothpaste. Continue to add and mix until you reach your desired consistency.
Gummy bear slime
- Gummy bears – 1 cup
- Cornstarch – 2 tbsp
- Powdered Sugar – 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil – ½ tbsp
Add the gummy bears in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it on high for 30 seconds. Take the mixture out after every 10 seconds and give it a stir, continue until the mixture is smooth. In a plate, mix the cornstarch and sugar well and then set aside half of the mixture. Pour the melted gummy bear mixture on the powder mixture and let it cool down. Once, it’s cooled down, knead the mixture. Add in rest of the powder mixture and knead well. Pour the oil on the slime and mix it with your hands and your slime will be ready.
